Dry Needling / Medical Acupuncture

This treatment involves insertion of fine sterile needles into the muscles for a few minutes, sometimes low voltage electrical stimulation might be added to assist the process.

Acupuncture stimulates the nerves in soft tissue and can produce a variety of effects, for instance: the body's release of natural painkillers, increase in local circulation, release of trigger point.

It is mainly used in support of sports massage, but in certain cases might be given as treatment on its own.
