Myofascial Release [MFR]

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the fascial system to eliminate pain and restore movement.

Myofascial Release loosens tight muscles and tissues, increases flexibility, improves structural balance and alignment and releases adhesions.

Fascia

This is the tough connective tissue that holds us together, its appearance is similar to a spiders web. Fascia is one continuous structure that exists from head to toe without interruption, enveloping every structure of the body.

In its normal, healthy state fascia is well lubricated and able to move without restrictions . When we experience physical or emotional trauma, scarring, inflammation, repetitive strain or poor posture, the fascia loses its pliability.

The fascia becomes tight, restricted and a source of tension in the whole body. Fascial restrictions can exert pressure causing pain, headaches and restricted movement.

Sessions are 60 minutes long, 3-10 sessions needed.

Conditions MFR can be helpful with:

  • Bad posture
  • Chronic pain
  • Repetetive injuries
  • Scars
  • Movement restrictions
  • Headaches
